Well, it's that time of year again. The time of year when our restless little family gets the urge for a new scene. Luckily, this time it will not be from one continent to another. Next week, we'll be "moving house" to a different part of Perth. Some of you may know that the owners of our current home here in Wembley have been... shall we say, difficult. They decided back in October that they wanted to sell the property and have wanted us to leave ever since. I refused to leave until I found a house that truly suited us. I've been searching for a couple of months now, and have finally found something the right size, priced right, and in a nice location for Todd's bus commute to work. (We are a 1-car family over here, trying to minimize our carbon footprint, and save some dough too!) Our Wembley house came fully furnished and equipped. Which means we really didn't have to buy anything, it was all here. But the new house is unfurnished- not even appliances. So, we've made arrangements to rent furniture and the fridge, washer, and dryer.
So, our minimal belongings are slowly finding their way into boxes, I'm arranging utilities, and making my shopping list for Ikea to track down all the things that we'll need to be functional in our new house. We'll email our new address soon and post some photos of the new digs.

Our Little Girl is 3!

We are pleased to announce that D has successfully turned 3 years old! Amazing how time flies. We had a super fun party with friends on Saturday afternoon. We played games, shared a meal, and enjoyed a homemade ice cream cake.

The children earned party prizes for participating in the games. They went fishing for little trinkets and took home M&Ms for their efforts at pinning the pigtails on D. Our friends a the local Fujiphoto shop helped out with this game.
Much thanks to all our friends who were able to join in the fun! It's also been lovely to use Skype to share the birthday joy with family back home. This morning, D opened some gifts from her grandparents who were able to watch online.
